Born in the Dingle area of Liverpool, his first home now long lost to the inner-city slum clearance programme, Ken has undertaken a myriad of jobs: from furniture removals to cleaning launderettes; from classroom teaching to building adventure playgrounds in the most socially deprived areas of south London.
“Life without memory is no life at all… Our memory is our coherence, our reason, our feeling, even our action. Without it we are nothing.”~Luis Buñuel
Ken has recently turned to his passion for photography in an attempt make sense of the chaotic world around him. His work often focuses on human and social context, seeking out simplicity and abstraction amongst the turbulence of the urban environment and the complexity of the natural world.
